Please be aware that we have received a notification of a TTRN (urgent) road closure at Wells Road, Wookey which will commence on 13th August 2026 - 14th August 2026 (09:30 - 15:30) for a total of 2 days.

This will enable Openreach to access underground structure - cabling to restore customer service. 

The contractor has indicated that access for Emergency Services through the site is permitted on this occasion.

Please be aware that following our previous email, we have received notification of an extension of dates to an Emergency Road Closure at A371 Wells Road, Draycott, Cheddar for approximately 285 metres.

The date for the works is now:  5th August 2026 - 10th August 2026 (24 hours).

The road will be reopened as soon as safe to do so. 

These works are for Bristol Water to repair a burst water main, their works reference is AY0093264097-01.

The order becomes effective on 26th August 2026 and will remain in force for eighteen months.

The works are expected to commence on 1st September 2026 and last for 28 days to enable Wales & West Utilities to carry out gas works.
