STEP-UP Somerset – virtual careers, employment and skills event

STEP-UP Somerset is offering an opportunity to promote your vacancies to the thousands of people who will be accessing this year’s Virtual Careers, Employment and Skills event on, and after, the 14th October 2021.  Around 5000 individuals registered for last year’s event, so this is a great way to connect with current and future jobseekers.  We also encourage you to sign-up to reach more people during the month-long ‘STEP into Jobs’ campaign that follows.

There are a number of ways in which to get involved:

  • Work with Event Co-Ordinator, Sarah Johnson, to create your own virtual exhibitor booth.  It’s a great opportunity for you to talk to thousands of young people and jobseekers about current and future career opportunities within your organisation, and let them know the skills, personal attributes and training pathways you expect to see in your ideal candidate.

Apply by 10th October.

OR

  • Supply details of your current job vacancies to feature, FOR FREE, in our Step into Jobs’ virtual booth.  The booth will feature a range of live job vacancies from across the area.  This can generate applications on the day and in the week that follows the virtual Careers Fair.  Complete/return the attached *Job Vacancy Template to admin@somersetcareersfair.co.uk by 10th October.

AND

  • Sign-up to take part in our STEP into Jobs open doors event, a further opportunity to connect with local talent in the run up to Christmas.  This is a countywide campaign to bring employers and jobseekers together in their communities, by inviting organisations to open the doors of their workplace for a limited period, once or twice a week, between 21st October and 20th November.  You may choose to accept CVs, provide a tour of your workplace, conduct informal interviews or trial candidates for an evening.  We will promote your STEP into Jobs open event for you and provide support to make the most of this opportunity to connect with local talent

Sign-up by 5pm on 21st October via the online form: forms.office.com/r/DFHvDZ4TjD

For more information and to take-up any, or all, of the above opportunities, please get in touch with Sarah Johnson, Event Coordinator admin@somersetcareersfair.co.uk

Thank you…
